RE: Harvest

Dear parent/ carer,

It is around this time each year we invite parents into school to celebrate harvest with us. As part of this over recent years we have asked for donations for The Bay Foodbank and each year we are blown away by how generous everyone is. Whilst the country, and most of the world, is going through such a difficult time we don’t want to put any extra pressure on parents and carers, however we also would not want for those who rely on our donation to go without. Indeed, it is in these difficult times that we as a society can come together more than ever to help and support each other.

So with that in mind, on Thursday 22nd October the children will be posting Harvest songs and poems for you to enjoy on Seesaw and Tapestry. We also ask that if you are able to send in a donation of dried/tinned foods for The Bay Foodbank it would be greatly appreciated.

To reduce the amount of contact with donations I have arranged for a collection van to be parked inside the school yard on Thursday 22nd October so the children can give their donation straight to the volunteers as they enter the gates.

Please only bring donations in on the morning of Thursday 22nd October as we do not have anywhere in school to be able to store safely.

As always, I thank you in advance for your co-operation and support in this.

Kind regards,

Mr T Jones
