Zoom catch up sessions

Friday 22nd January

Dear Parents/Carers,

As the current situation continues we appreciate that giving the children a chance to be ‘together’ as a class is very important. Therefore, it is our intention to start zoom catch up’s for each class from next week. These will start by being a short check in, chance for a story or sharing some work that the children have been doing or even a chance for a dough disco session for Reception.  Your class teacher will let you know the date, times and access details of these through Seesaw or Tapestry so please look out for the information.

In order to run these zoom sessions safely there are several e-safety measures I would like to bring to your attention:

  • Please join the zoom session with a neutral background behind you, be mindful of what others can see on the screen (Sit on the sofa/at a table etc.)
  • Staff and children must wear suitable clothing, as should anyone else in the household
  • Language must be professional and appropriate, including any family members in the background
  • Videos may be muted for both pupils and staff if other children in the household become unsettled or cause a disruption.

As we are all becoming all too familiar with having to communicate remotely, we hope these are an enjoyable chance for the children to see each other. However, if there are any issues with the times or access please do not worry. We intend to run them regularly as social opportunities and they are in no way compulsory.

We hope you are able to support us in this step and look forward to being able to catch up with all the children

Kind regards,

Mr. T Jones
