End of term letter

Friday 16th July 2021

Dear parent / carer,

As we come to the end of another difficult school year, I would like to extend my thanks to all parents and carers for your support over the past 15 months. Things have not been ideal throughout the year, but the children have shown such fantastic resilience, dealing with everything that has happened amazingly well. We should all be extremely proud of how they have dealt with the ever changing expectations and environments.

It was with huge sadness that we have had to send our year 4 children home before the end of the term and just before we were able to celebrate their time in our leaver’s assembly. Our heart goes out to them, and we all wish them all the very best with everything they do in the future.

I would also like to send a personal thank you to all the children, staff, governors and parents for being part of this amazing school that is Langley.  The past 10 years has been one filled with excitement, engagement, energy and enthusiasm and I hold my opportunity to be headteacher here as a privilege. As leaders in a school, we are only custodians and can only hope that our hard work, determination, and a bit of good luck ensure that we leave the school in a better position than when we arrived. I know that Langley is an amazing place to learn, and I know it will continue to grow from strength to strength not only because of the amazing staff and the supportive parents but mainly because of the fantastic children which it serves.

I wish all Langley families a restful and hopefully isolation free summer break and also I wish you all well for the future.

Thank you as ever for your support throughout my time at Langley,

Mr. T Jones

Headteacher
