Letter from Chair of Governors 18_12_20

Re: letter from Chair of Governors

Dear Parents/Carers.

On behalf of our Governing Body, may I thank you for the support given to our school during these unprecedented times.  Our Governing Body has held three additional meetings during this year to ensure that every possible action and mitigation was in place to ensure that your children received an outstanding learning and social experience, and that our staff were empowered to facilitate this.

As our Headteacher has reported to you, there is an abundance of evidence to support this. Daily routines have of necessity been very different, though very necessary to keep the community of our school safe. Governors are particularly impressed that the range of intervention and catch-up strategies now in place are having a positive impact for all of our children, compensating for the lengthy closure of our school for so many in the spring of this year.

MASK WEARING

During the review of our Covid-19 related Health and Safety procedures, one thing emerged which I am anxious to have your support on, mask wearing.

May I request that all parents/carers and other adults, who drop off and collect children from our school, wear face masks as they queue to get into and leave our school premises starting in January.

We must all do our bit to drive down the spread of this virus on our collective journey to more normal times.

Christmas and New Year greetings to you all. Stay safe.

Chris Coady,

Chair of Governors
